Middlebury Police Log: Man cited for DUI following traffic stop

<p> MIDDLEBURY &mdash; Middlebury police cited Timothy Dragon, 36, of Middlebury for driving under the influence (second offense), following a traffic stop on Route 7 South on March 15.</p><p> Police allege that Dragon&rsquo;s vehicle almost struck a guardrail as it turned from Route 125 onto Route 7. Police said they measured Dragon&rsquo;s blood-alcohol content at 0.206 percent; the legal limit for driving is 0.08.</p><p> In other action last week, Middlebury police:</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Ticketed a juvenile for being a minor in possession of tobacco on Charles Avenue on March 9.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS on a call to a South Munger Street location on March 9.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Responded to a noise complaint at a Court Street apartment on March 10.</p><p> &bull; Cited a local juvenile for simple assault and disorderly conduct, after investigating a report of one Middlebury Union High School student assaulting another on campus on March 10.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Turned over, to a sober person, a drunken man found in Court Square on March 11.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Investigated a report of juveniles throwing items off of the Seymour Street railroad overpass on March 11. Police quickly responded to the scene but found no juveniles in the area.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Were informed of the theft of a backpack (containing a computer) from Middlebury College&rsquo;s Ross Dining Hall on March 11.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Served a no-trespass order on March 11 on a woman who was not wanted at a Seymour Street address.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Responded to a leaving-the-scene-of-an-accident complaint on South Main Street on March 11.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Were informed of possible sexual activity involving a juvenile in the Piper Road area on March 11. Police said the investigation is ongoing.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Received a report on March 11 of a Middlebury Union Middle School student receiving threats from a local high school student.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Investigated a report of a disorderly, drunken man in the hallway of 15 Court St. saying he needed a place to sleep and that he was going to pull the fire alarm unless someone opened the door to an apartment on March 11. Police cited Travis C. Huestis, 24, of Middlebury for disorderly conduct. Authorities took him to a detox facility in Rutland.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Took into evidence a small bag of marijuana that a Middlebury Short Stop employee had found on the store floor on March 12.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Responded to a report of two suspicious men in the Exchange Street area on March 12. Police could not locate the people in question.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Received a report of a debit/credit card being compromised at the Rite-Aid Pharmacy on Court Street on March 12.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Responded to a report of a man and a woman arguing in the Seminary Street area on March 13. Police said the woman was &ldquo;extremely intoxicated,&rdquo; and ultimately turned her over to the custody of her mother.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Investigated a report on March 13 that several people were walking in the roadway on Seymour Street Extension, obstructing traffic, on their way to a party.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Assisted the Brandon Police Department in locating a possibly suicidal juvenile in the Main Street area on March 13. Police said the juvenile was OK and was turned over to his mother.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Responded to a report of vandalism on Porter Drive on March 13.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Were informed of the theft of an unspecified amount of money from the Middlebury College Fine Arts Center on March 13. Police have no suspects at this time.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Warned two men for public urination in the Bakery Lane area on March 13.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Gave a ride home to a disoriented patron at the Sabai Sabai Restaurant on Merchants Row during the evening of March 14.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Investigated an attempted vehicle break-in in the Jackson Lane neighborhood on March 14. Police said there appeared to be pry marks around the doors of the vehicle.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Asked a man to leave Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on March 14. Police indicated the man had been walking around the building with no apparent purpose.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Assisted Porter Hospital officials with an uncooperative, intoxicated man on Porter Medical Center campus on March 14.</p><p> &bull;&nbsp; Asked a tenant to turn down some loud music that had drawn complaints in the Court Street area during the evening of March 15.</p>
