Funeral service for Rep. Greg Clark set for Tuesday

VERGENNES — The family of longtime state Rep. Greg Clark of Vergennes, who was killed in a highway accident on Friday, have set a date and time for his funeral service.

Visiting hours will be at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes on Monday, Dec. 3, from 3 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Vergennes Congregational Church, where Clark was a member.

Clark, who was a teacher at Mount Abraham Union High School and served five terms in the Vermont House, died on Friday, Nov. 30, after being struck by a southbound vehicle while scraping ice off his windshield at the side of Route 7 on Woodman Hill just south of Vergennes. He was 65.

Clark is survived by his wife, Eileen, a son and daughter, and extended family.
