Record number of runners drawn to 25th annual Ripton race

THE 230 PARTICIPANTS in the 25th annual Ripton Ridge Run stream across the starting line of the 10K and 5K runs and fun walk on Oct. 7.
RIPTON — A huge crowd turned out to celebrate the 25th annual Ripton Ridge Run on Oct. 7. A record 230 people took part in the 5K run, fun walk and 10K run. Fifteen children participated in the “Kids’ Race” and dozens of volunteers and friends were also on hand.
The Bud Leeds Ensemble provided music, giving the day a particularly festive atmosphere and, since the weather also cooperated, it was a banner day.
