Tigers dance their way to Vermont state hip-hop title

<p> VERGENNES &mdash; The Middlebury Union High School dance team on Saturday for the third time in five years won the Vermont hip-hop crown, this time before more than 1,000 fans supporting 10 teams at Vergennes Union High School.</p><p> The Tiger team &mdash; with half the dancers dressed as men with goatees and eye black &mdash; edged the defending hip-hop titlist Burr &amp; Burton squad, 263.5-261.</p><p> MUHS had previously claimed the hip-hop title in 2008 and 2010.</p><p> In the Tigers&rsquo; second category &mdash; each team competed in two of the three categories, hip-hop, jazz and pom &mdash; they finished tied for fourth in jazz, scoring 219.5 points out of a possible 300.
