Opinion: Are solar farms really paying off?

Posted on November 25, 2015 |
By Anders Holm

In his Nov. 19 editorial, Mr. Lynn describes very well the environmentalists paradox and the challenge facing Vermont. There has to be a thoughtful balance between utilization and preservation of the environment. Having not been in Vermont for many months, my first trip down Route 7 was nothing short of shocking. Everyone deserves a chance to recover. Being able to rest when ill and come back to work at full capacity without the stigma of “Well, you weren’t here yesterday…” would be a huge relief for me and many of my coworkers.

Posted on November 25, 2015 |
By Rustan Swenson

I’m all in favor of PACs in the political process, provided we just allow for a small, subtle change to the acronym and its reading. PACCC: Public Advocacy for Concerned, Conscientious Citizens. Not what we have today: Profligate Aggression and Control by Corporate Contrivance.
