MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Lauren Jellison, 36, of Camden, Maine, for driving under the influence, following a report of a person driving erratically in the Court Street area on Dec. 24.

Police said they got Jellison to pull over in the Middlebury Inn parking lot. Police said they measured Jellison’s blood-alcohol content at 0.271 percent — more than three times the 0.08 legal limit for driving in the state of Vermont.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Received a report that a man had stolen a pair of pants from Wild Mountain Thyme on Main Street on Dec. 24. Police continue to investigate the case.

•  Helped a local woman obtain a temporary restraining order on Dec. 24.

•  Delivered Christmas presents to children in Middlebury, Starksboro and Bristol on Dec. 25.

•  Cited Patrick Cota, 26, of Bristol for driving with a suspended license, following a traffic stop on Water Street on Dec. 26.

•  Received a report that someone had forged three U.S. Treasury checks and withdrew the money from an account after having deposited the checks at a local bank on Dec. 26. The matter remains under investigation.

•  Investigated a report of someone forcing their way into a Seminary Street Extension home on Dec. 26. Police said it’s unclear whether anything was stolen from the home.

•  Assisted Vermont State Police in checking the North Pleasant Street home of a person whose vehicle had been abandoned in Salisbury on Dec. 26. Police said they found no one at the home.

•  Cited Taylor Moulton, 31, of Middlebury for driving under the influence, after he was allegedly involved in a one-vehicle crash on Quarry Road on Dec. 27. Police said they measured Moulton’s blood-alcohol content at 0.112 percent.

•  Were informed of the theft of a package from a Valley View Road home on Dec. 27.

•  Cited Christopher Fitzpatrick, 29, of Middlebury for driving with a suspended license, following a traffic stop on Halpin Road on Dec. 27.

•  Responded to Mister Ups Restaurant at around 10:45 p.m. on Dec. 29 on the report of loud music disturbing neighbors.  Police said restaurant officials turned the music off.

•  Investigated a report of a Jeep Cherokee nearly striking a pedestrian in the Marble Works shopping complex on Maple Street on Dec. 29. Police said the Jeep hit a container the person was holding, and there were no injuries.

•  Tested a school bus driver who had allegedly been seen walking into a local brewery during the afternoon of Dec. 29. Police said the driver denied having consumed alcohol and said he had family working at the brewery. Police said the driver showed no signs of being intoxicated. He nonetheless submitted to a preliminary breath test that confirmed he had not consumed, according to police.

•  Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS with a patient who — due to a medical condition — had fallen unconscious at a Court Street business on Dec. 29.

•  Were told a man was panhandling outside of Maplefields on North Pleasant Street on Dec. 29. Police said the man had left upon their arrival.
