MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Amy Danforth, 62, of New Haven for driving under the influence, after she was stopped for allegedly driving erratically on Porter Drive on Oct. 13.

Police said they measured Danforth’s blood-alcohol content at 0.263 percent; the legal limit for driving is 0.08.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Assisted Porter Hospital officials with a mental health patient who was trying to leave the campus on Oct. 9.

•  Helped state police with a woman who was having a mental health crisis in the Route 7 North area on Oct. 9. Police said the woman was taken to Porter Hospital.

•  Received a report about someone driving a pickup truck erratically and causing damage to a lawn off Freeman Way on Oct. 9. Police said they found the vehicle, which they have impounded as they try to fund out who was driving it.

•  Cited Cyle Chaplin, 25, of Essex Junction for violating the conditions of a release order, following an alleged incident in the Monarch Court area on Oct. 10.

•  Received a report that someone had been yelling racial slurs at a woman in the Weybridge Street area on Oct. 10. Police said the case remains under investigation.

•  Investigated a report of an “out-of-control” woman at the Parent-Child Center of Addison County on Monroe Street on Oct. 10. Police said the woman had left prior to their arrival.

•  Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS with a person who needed medical help in the Buttolph Drive area on Oct. 10.

•  Responded to a single-vehicle accident on Washington Street Extension on Oct. 11. Police said the driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Porter Hospital.

•  Were informed of the theft of some tools from a Merchants Row location on Oct. 11.

•  Assisted a homeless person on Route 7 South on Oct. 11.

•  Issued a warning to a man and a woman for carrying open containers of alcohol on Main Street on Oct. 13.

•  Received a report that someone had smashed two windows and slashed a tire on a vehicle parked in the Jayne Court area on Oct. 14.

•  Assisted a Jayne Court resident who claimed to have received threatening text messages on Oct. 14.

•  Helped a person who said a person who had borrowed her vehicle on Oct 14 was overdue in returning it. Police said the person returned the vehicle.

•  Were informed someone has used spray paint to vandalize some Middlebury College property off South Main Street on Oct. 14. Police said the case is under investigation.

•  Performed a welfare check on Oct. 14 on a Colonial Drive resident whom neighbors had not heard from in a while. Police found the resident safe.

•  Quieted a group of people who has been playing loud music and talking on the porch of a Weybridge Street home at around 2 a.m. on Oct. 15.

•  Herded four loose cows that had wandered from Addison County Commission Sales onto East Main Street on Oct. 16.
