ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police are looking into several calls in the past week about lawn trimmers and other items stolen from the garages of several Cornwall and Weybridge residences.

On June 4 troopers received a report from the owner of a home on Clark Road in Cornwall that someone had entered his garage and stolen gasoline and a weed whacker.

The next day, police were called to investigate two separate burglaries at homes on Snake Mountain Road in Weybridge. In the first, a string trimmer, chain saw and gas can were stolen. In the second, the homeowner reported two gas cans and a weed whacker were stolen.

That same day a resident of West Street in Cornwall reported that several tools were stolen out of his garage between Monday night and Wednesday morning. In this case, state police are attempting to locate two orange Husqvarna chainsaws with 18-inch bars as well as several other items.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the VSP at 802-388-4919. Information can also be submitted anonymously online at www.vtips.info or by texting “CRIMES” (274637) to keyword: VTIPS.

Police report that 67-year-old William Kinsley lost control of the 2009 Hyundai Elantra he was driving while in a slight curve and crashed into a telephone pole. Friends took Kinsley to Porter Hospital before police arrived, and he was treated and released for minor scrapes and bruises. Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in this crash, police said.

•  On June 4 at 5:21 p.m. responded to a one-car rollover into a driveway off Hardscrabble Road in Monkton. The 16-year-old driver told police she was traveling the speed limit when she lost control on the loose gravel and went off the road. She was wearing a seat belt. A private vehicle transported her to Porter Hospital for evaluation.

•  On June 4 at 9:07 p.m. responded to a family disturbance on Bridge Street in Huntington. Troopers said their investigation determined that Andrew Jimmo, 40, of Starksboro had pushed a woman he knew to the ground, then smashed the windows of another man’s vehicle. State police were unable to locate Jimmo that evening, but they arrested him without incident on June 6 and cited him for second degree aggravated domestic assault, unlawful mischief and driving with a criminally suspended license.

•  On June 5 received a report of a theft of copper pipe at a residence in Salisbury. The pipe was cut from a crawl space under the residence. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact VSP.

On June 10, police confirmed the arrest of Ricardo Romero-DeLaCruz, 20, of Cardenas Tabasco, Mexico, as a suspect in the beating. See full story in A section. As of Monday, police were still looking for the second suspect.

•  On June 6 at 12:27 p.m. responded to a report of a one-car crash on Frosty Lane in Bridport. Police said driver Michael Stone, 19, of Lake Luzerne, N.Y., lost control of his vehicle while northbound on Frosty Lane; the 1998 Pontiac Bonneville left the roadway and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its wheels. Neither Stone nor his passenger were injured. Both were wearing seat belts. The Bonneville was judged a total loss.

•  On June 6, reported a follow-up on a May 17 call in which state police in Royalton were told of an assault that was occurring on Route 100 in Rochester. Upon arrival at the scene troopers found Alexandra Parks, 24, of Bristol and Ryan Sprigg, 29, of New Haven, who told police that a third person was involved in the assault. Last week Trooper Brouillard reported that further investigation revealed that this was false. Sprigg was later cited into court for domestic assault and for giving false information to a peace officer. Police said they were seeking an arrest warrant for Parks for giving false information to a peace officer and driving with a suspended license.

•  On June 6 received a report from Tammy Cota that she had not heard from her daughter, 28-year-old Christina M. Cota, in several months and she had not answered cell phone calls or emails.
