ORWELL –– When Rhianna Carr, 12, learned that she won a Boston Red Sox Kid Nation community service contest, she couldn’t believe it.

“I was so happy I started crying and I was just jumping,” she said. “I almost passed out when I found out, I was so happy.”

Carr, an Orwell resident and big Sox fan, entered a contest run by Kids Nation, the Red Sox youth fan group.
