• U.S. Representative Peter Welch's visit to Addison County last week on a statewide clean energy tour. Welch, who is running for reelection this November, visited Blue Spruce Farm in Bridport and Nathaniel Electronics in Vergennes as part of his tour.
• State-mandated budget cuts for supervisory unions, which will have to cut a joint total of $23.2 million from their spending for the coming year. The proposed cutbacks include a reduction of over two percent in the budgets of Addison County supervisory unions.
• Painter T.J. Cunningham's preparations for his first solo show, which opens this Friday at the Art House in Middlebury. The 22-year-old Addison resident's art will be on display until September.
