Below the Falls
new poems by Gary Margolis
Other authors are saying:
“Below the Falls is among the handful of recent volumes that has sunk deep into my mind and heart… In poem after poem, Gary Margolis proves himself in this mature, lucid, and humane volume by one of our most accomplished and indispensable poets.”
Jay Parini, Promised Land: Thirteen Books that Changed America
“However various, playful, even jokey many of Gary Margolis’s new poems are, a hard thread woven through this collection is the disappearance in winter of a young man eventually discovered to have drowned. Margolis’s generous and humane poems press their worries toward the hopes we might all find ourselves turning to."
Lawrence Raab, The History of Forgetting
“Below the Falls is a brilliant journey through the emotions… Gary Margolis guides us into a feast of imagination and feelings -- a celebration of heart, mind, and soul. Emerging below the falls, we soar to new heights."
John Perkins, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man
