Update about Vermont slaughterhouses: Grand Isle plant shut down

You are what you eat. Bad Karma = Bad Karma. That goes for those that perpetrated. Look out, Bad Karma is coming your way. It will balance itself out.

While I agree that some HSUS executives make far too much money, PETA and most other animal welfare agencies work for relatively litte. They, like most of us who detest the way commercial farms "raise", transport and slaughter animals ( often with unimaginable cruelty), do strive to convince people to stop supporting such cruelty by adopting a vegetarian diet. Converting the despicable commercial poultry, hog, beef, veal, duck, sheep, lamb and other such farms to smaller, free range and mostly vegetarian farming practices would not only be kinder for the animals, but provide a safer, healther diet for humans. It would also reduce the environmental pollution of current commercial farming practices. When I watch the endless lines of obese men and women waddling to the meat counters to fill their food carts with cut up pieces of animals, high fat milk and cheese, etc. then read articles on the need for better health care for these obese wretches .. with their high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, etc.., l am infuriated. There is so much misery inflicted on farm animals, from birth to death, so that people can gorge on veal smothered in sauce, "burgers", chicken, pork, lamb, duck, turkeys, high fat milk products, etc. The poor calves depicted in the video were the product of dairy farms that consider them just a by- product of their milk cows, which are forced to give birth year after year so that the milk intended for their calves can be sold to humans. Once they are used up, the milk cows will also be discarded ... sent to slaughter. The whole business is obscene ... but could not continue without demand. People need to remember those pitiful veal calves the next time they reach for a piece of a once sentient creature to put in their mouths and, then, adopt a healthier, more humane diet.

What is wrong with a vegan agenda? At least animals are protected from acts of inhumane cruelty. You are the one who has the bad karma of eating animals that are unjustly tortured.

Maybe you should be kicked around and shocked until you WAKE up that this is not farming... this is group of men that should be not only ashamed,but prosecuted!

I am spreading this information to ALL I know in hopes that the slaughterhouse NEVER reopens.

Would you like to have your throat partially slit and continue to be skinned alive to save our tainted meat production?

I'm sure HSUS is receiving an 'unbelievably enormous amounts of money' from exposing these inhumane savages.. Maybe you should rethink that statement.

If you want to address an issue, please address both sides. This abuse and torture is happening, whether your ignorance allows you to understand it or not.

It is quite disappointing to think that our meat production could be outsourced.. maybe we should consider doing it correctly the first time then.

There are worse people out there than the one that do the dirty jobs for us to have food on our tables.
