Edith E. Sweet
FERRISBURGH — Edith E. Sweet, 82, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury. She was born July 6, 1926, in Hinesburg, the daughter of Daniel and Winona (Warren) Sweet.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean Sweet of Ferrisburgh and Joan Freegard and her husband, Roger, of Vergennes; a son, David Sweet of Ferrisburgh; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her four brothers and four sisters.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, Aug. 16, at Maplewood Cemetery in Huntington.

Michael A. Robarge
BERLIN — Michael A. Robarge, 50, of Berlin died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. He was born July 3, 1958, in Middlebury, the son of Albert Robarge and Lorretta Robarge Hawkins.
He lived in Vergennes before moving to Berlin.
He is survived by four daughters, Heather, Sara, Thomye, and Mikayla; three grandchildren; his mother, Lorretta, and her husband, Pete Hawkins.
He was predeceased by his father, Albert Robarge; and a brother, Jeff Robarge.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Brown McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes.
Stephanie (Heyman) Masterson
LINCOLN — Stephanie (Heyman) Masterson, 58, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008. She was born June 8, 1950, in Proctor, the daughter of Walter Heyman and Patricia (Charron) Lafountain.
According to family, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, bowling, camping, fishing, boating, hunting and many other outdoor activities, most of all being NaNa to her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Bill Masterson; a daughter, Tammy LaPointe and her husband, Matt; three grandchildren; her stepfather, Arthur Lafountain of Florida.
She is also survived by five sisters, Barbara Gevry of Forestdale, Mary and her husband, John Forand, of Michigan, Chere Rhodes and her husband, Ron, of East Middlebury, Kathy Lafayette and her husband, Norman, of Bristol, and Jeanne Lane and her husband, Wayne, of New Hampshire; five brothers, Thomas LaFlam of Rutland, Lonnie LaFlam of Florida, G. Peter LaFlam and his wife, Trina, of New Hampshire, Christopher LaFlam and his wife, Tammy, of New Haven, and Timothy LaFlam of Lincoln.
Also surviving her are her mother-in-law, Ivis Masterson of Lincoln; her sister-in-law, Joyce Reynolds and her husband, Morris, of Williston; three brothers-in-law, Lawrence Masterson and his wife, Christine, Harold Masterson and his wife, Anne, and Beanie Masterson and his wife, Sheila, all of Lincoln; and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was predeceased by her parents; her stepfather, Darrel LaFlam; and a brother, Michael LaFlam.
A memorial service was held on Friday, Aug. 15, at Lincoln United Church.

Linda L. Desjadon
MIDDLEBURY — Linda L. Desjadon, 65, died Thursday, August 14, 2008, at her home in Middlebury, surrounded by her family. She was born June 25, 1943, in Burlington, the daughter of George Blaise and Veda (Newville) Haskins.
According to family, she enjoyed life, being with family and friends, loved gardening and being outside and was proud to have been able to see her first great-granddaughter and great-grandson.
She is survived by her mother, Veda (Newville) Haskins; her children, Debra Larocque and heer husband, Roger, of Ripton, Michael Desjadon of East Middlebury, Curtis Desjadon of Ripton, and Elizabeth Desjadon and her husband, David Many, of Salisbury;
She is also survived by her siblings, Richard and Sue Haskins of New York, Pat Haskins of Huntington, Yvonne and Brian Goodwin of New York, Loraine Haskins of New York, Robert Blaise of New York, Brenda and Bill Dutton of East Middlebury, Kathy and Randy Welch of New York; several grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Kaye Ann Desjadon of Vergennes.
Linda was predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Desjadon II; her sons, Charles W. Desjadon III and Leonard A. Desjadon; her father, George Blaise; and her step-father, Wade Haskins.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday Aug. 19, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. William R. Beaudin will officiate. Burial will follow in Cook Cemetery in Ripton.
