Matthew Bruns

STARKSBORO — Matthew Bruns, 40, died on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at his home in Starksboro after a long illness. He was born Jan. 3, 1967, in Silver Spring, Md., the son of Randolph and Barbara Bruns of Arnold, Md.

Matthew graduated from Severna Park High School in Maryland and attended college in Frostburg, Md. In high school and in his early working career he worked with disabled children and adults. He later was a licensed practicing massage therapist in Connecticut and recently worked in the service industry in Vermont.

He is survived by his parents; his wife, Barbara; his children, Zachary and Sierra; his sister, Krista Whitney and her husband Matt; and four nieces and nephews.
