Mary Ruth Vinci
CORNWALL — Mary Ruth Vinci, 54, died Oct. 9, 2007, after a battle with melanoma. She was born in Burlington on June 25, 1954.
She grew up on her family’s farm in Cornwall, and moved to Palatka, Fla., in 1977. While living in Palatka, She worked for the St. John’s River Water Management District and was active with the Palatka Jaycees. After a brief stay in St. Augustine, She moved back to Vermont in 2001 and married her husband, John (Marty) Vinci. There she made an impact on many children’s lives by working as a teacher’s aide for children with special needs. In May, she relocated to Snellville, Ga.
According to family, she enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, fishing, golf and especially chatting with friends and family.
She is survived by her mother, Lena Plouffe of Welaka, Fla.; her husband, John (Marty) Vinci of Snellville, Ga.; her two sons, Brian Bourdeau of Auburn, Ala., and Jared Bourdeau of Palm Coast, Fla.; her step-children, Martin Vinci of Alpharetta, Ga., and Katie Vinci of Boston, Mass.; and her daughters-in-law, Colleen Bourdeau and Jennifer Ortisi Vinci.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 13, at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka, Fla.
There will be a graveside service Saturday, Nov. 10, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Middlebury. A gathering for family and friends will be held after the service at the Cornwall Congregational Church.
ADDISON — Ellen Noonan, 64, died unexpectedly on Oct. 23. 2007, at her home in London, England. She was the daughter of Lois C. and the late Frederick Noonan.
She is survived by her mother, and her brother, Frederick W. Noonan of Addison.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
